What to do when Olin is closed:

Not sure if it is an emergency? Call the Olin Phone Information Nurse any time day or night (available 24/7/365) at 353-5557.

Emergency? For serious medical emergencies when Olin Health Center is closed, students are advised to go to the nearest hospital emergency department. The hospital emergency department closest to campus is located at Sparrow Hospital, 1215 East Michigan Avenue.

What to do if you are sick and need medical care:

Call Olin at 353-4660 to make an appointment (you can usually get an appointment for the same day, especially if you call early in the day). Bring your student ID, and your insurance card with you (if you don't have insurance, we can bill you). Note: The first three medical office visits of each school year are prepaid for enrolled MSU students. This is only the office visit, and does not include lab, X-ray, medical procedures and supplies, etc. For these charges, and for the fourth and subsequent visits, Olin will first bill the insurance plan, and then the patient for any costs not covered by insurance.
