Cancer is so limited... it cannot cripple love, it cannot shatter hope, it cannot corrode faith, it cannot eat away peace, it cannot destroy confidence, it cannot kill friendship, it cannot shut out memories, it cannot silence courage, it cannot invade the soul, it cannot reduce eternal life, it cannot quench the spirit..." Who we areWe are students who have been impacted in some way by cancer. We are patients, survivors, and friends and family members of those who have cancer. What we doWe have informal social meetings facilitated by health care professionals during which we talk about our experiences with cancer and the ways it has shaped our lives. We also plan other social events; in the past, they have included movies, bowling, concerts at the Wharton Center, and MSU athletic events. This year, we also plan on doing some outreach and volunteer work in cancer-related fields around the Lansing area. When we meetOur facilitated meetings are twice a month during the academic year. We host special events held throughout the year.Fall Semester 2009 Spring Semester 2010 Meetings are from 7:30-9:00 pm in the MSU Room of the MSU Union. Why we're hereWe're here for you; we want to meet other students for whom cancer is a part of life; we want to find out how others cope with cancer; we want to learn about resources that exist for us on campus; and most of all, we want to have fun and to learn from others.Questions?
